Sara Ho Design offer’s Residential Design services in Portland, OR.
Sara’s approach to her design projects is simple. She approaches each project with the mindset of, “how can I help this person or family make their homework for them, yet still be beautiful and reflect who they are.” There is a purpose in her design choices, and she has respect for her clients. Many people have said that Sara is easy to work with, laid back, professional, a great listener, and an amazing designer.

PROCESS
Below is Sara’s simplified design process. To inquire about an estimate, please use the contact form below.
In-home Consultation
Sara will come to your home to look at your space and talk about what changes you'd like to make. She may also take measurements of you room(s) on the same day, or schedule a time to come back for measurements.
Design Boards & Presentation
Once the project begins, Sara will create mood boards, furniture boards, fabric & finish selections and present these items to you. Sara likes to create presentations for each room (or area) of your home and present area by area.
custom millwork designs
If applicable, Sara will create Drawings and Elevations of any custom built-ins, cabinetry, etc. These drawings will be passed on to a builder or carpenter for design intent only, and she will work closely with tradesmen to make sure the design of each piece is executed correctly.
Photo Realistic Renderings
Sara will create Photo Realistic rendering of your space(s) and present this to you. Once approved, Sara makes any other final furnishing selections, and will move into the ordering phase of the project.
meetings & coordination
Sara will regularly meet and communicate with other tradesmen working on the job to ensure a successful outcome for your project. Note that Sara does not hire tradesmen directly, nor does she pay tradesmen.
Documentation & ordering
Sara documents all custom furnishing, fabrics, millwork, etc. and will place orders on her client's behalf with Trade only resources. Sara will provide an invoice to her clients and will require the full deposit for the furnishings before ordering.
Installation
Once all your furniture is ordered and waiting in a secured warehouse, Sara will coordinate a time to meet tradesmen at your home to make sure everything is painted and installed per her design specifications. She will do a walk-through of your space(s) and she will work with delivery men to place all your furniture, decor and hang your artwork.

Either on the day of installation, or a day soon after that Sara will come to your home with a photographer to take high-quality photos of your new beautifully designed space(s).
